What is Candy AI?

Candy AI is an AI companion app where you chat with ready-made or custom AI characters, and ask them for images, voice notes, calls and short videos. It is operated by EverAI Limited, a company registered in Malta (no. C107181), which also runs a sister site called YumeAI under the same safety policies.

It runs in a browser. Candy AI’s help center says there is no native iPhone or Android app, and suggests saving the site to your home screen instead. Any App Store or Google Play app with “Candy” in the name comes from another developer.

How much does Candy AI cost?

Candy AI Premium costs between $3.99 and $13.99 a month depending on the term: $13.99 monthly after a $9.99 first month, $26.97 a quarter, or $47.88 a year, per its plans page on October 18, 2026. Every term includes unlimited text messages and 100 tokens a month. A higher tier, Premium Plus, adds 330 tokens and 20 memory slots, but its price only appears inside an account. What can you do on the free plan?

Very little: 5 messages in total, one custom character and one image, per Candy AI’s help center. That is enough to see the interface, not to judge the conversation.

What do published reviews like about Candy AI?

Image and video quality is the most praised feature across the reviews we read. The other common positives:

• A large character library and a detailed character builder (Straight.com, PlatformReviews.ai).
• Unlimited text chat on every paid term (The Companion Index, Shiftspawn).
• Discreet billing under the EverAI name and self-service cancellation (AIGirlsRated, The Companion Index).
• A low monthly cost on the annual plan (The Companion Index, Shiftspawn).

What do reviewers criticize?

Token spending is the most common complaint. Images, voice calls and video all draw on the 100 monthly tokens, and The Companion Index found that allowance covered about two weeks of daily use with some images.

• Memory weakens in long chats: Straight.com reported fading after about 7 to 10 days, and Shiftspawn saw storylines reset after 2 to 3 days.
• The free tier is too small to judge the product (Shiftspawn).
• Chats are stored on Candy AI’s servers, and no end-to-end encryption is published (AIGirlsRated, Shiftspawn).
• The refund window is narrow: 24 hours, with 20 or fewer tokens used.

Several reviews quote plan names and prices that don’t match the official plans page. Where they differ, we use the official figures.

Is Candy AI safe to use?

Candy AI is a real, registered company with published terms, an 18+ age gate and a moderation team, but your chats are stored and can be used, in de-identified form, to train its AI. How do you cancel Candy AI?

You cancel Candy AI from your account settings, and Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for. The steps, from Candy AI’s help center:

1. Log in at candy.ai.
2. Open My Profile, then Settings.
3. Click “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of the page and confirm.

Subscriptions can’t be paused, only canceled. Canceling does not trigger a refund; that has to be requested from support separately, within the refund window.
